Hamish was born on the 14 January
1975 in Ashburton, New Zealand. He has two older brothers, and a younger
half brother and half sister.
Hamish has been playing in various bands since he was 11, including one where Bic Runga played the drums. After finishing high school, he got an English Scholarship, but instead chose to go to the Jazz School at Christchurch Polytech. Hamish also went to the same primary school, and high school (Christchurch Boy's High) as James.
Hamish's favourite bands include : Neil Finn, The Pixies, Dave Dobbyn
and The Breeders. |

James was born on the 25 May
1974 in Christchurch, New Zealand. He has two older brothers and two
older sisters.
James was once a choirboy. He went to Christ College, in Christchurch.
After finishing high school, James was studying fine art and film
at Canterbury University. He postponed his studies once things started
happening for The Feelers. James also went to the same primary school,
and high school (Christchurch Boy's High) as Hamish.
James regards his brother as his greatest musical influence. |

Hamish was born on the 15 June
1973 in Wellington, New Zealand. He has an older brother, a younger
brother and a younger sister.
Matt started play the violin in standard 2, the piano in standard
3, and bass guitar in form 2. At high school he won many awards for
jazz and classical music. Matt was the one who formed The Feelers,
by advertising for a bass player. Matt went to New Plymouth Boys High
School and studied philosophy and computer programming at University.
Matt 's favourite bands include : The Pixies, Jesus Jones, and The
Pet Shop Boys. |
