This series was developed for a group exhibition called The Mind in the Cave with Glen Clark and Mike Deveroux. My work was then exhibited with Sanderson Contemporary Art under the name After the Square.
The project related to the intersections of process oriented painting practice and transcultural mythology. Being from Aotearoa I was particularly interested in stories of Māori mythology and how they related to other cultural narratives.
